Our Story
When Stephen Clayton was a young boy his parents gave him a small patch of disused land on the family farm where he would tend his "crops".

"The little plants my dad rejected," he recalls. "I used to water and nurture them."

Thus, began Stephen's life-long passion for tending the fields and working with nature to produce fresh, delicious and nourishing vegetables. In doing so he was following in the hard-trodden footsteps of over ten generations of his family who have worked the land in Newburgh.

“We have good fertile ground here,” he says. “The most rewarding thing about farming is seeing your produce flourish. We grow everything from seed, we don’t buy plants in. We sow the seeds ourselves and we plant them out and we see them through the full journey."

Today, the farm is home to Stephen and his partner Samantha who sell their farm-fresh produce directly to customers in their rustic and charming farm shop, as well as supporting local producers by stocking ethically sourced and complementary Lancashire products.
